What phone has the best combination of reception, clarity, battery, functionality and cost with Sprint PCS?

I have an LG phone with Verizon Wireless – lousy battery, horrible reception, and no extra features. I’m looking to trade up to Sprint PCS but don’t know which phone is best. Opinions are welcome, but please tell me WHY as well as which phone you prefer. Thanks!
