Will laptop run cooler if I remove internal battery?

My laptop is shutting down right in the middle of games. Browsing the internet, watching movies/videos is all ok. Im assuming it gets hot and some setting in the system BIOS shuts the laptop down to protect it. I generally have a power source for my laptop so I have thought about removing the battery and not even using it. Im just guessing that this will allow the laptop to run cooler since the battery isn’t always charging when plugged in. Am I correct on this?

What everyone else has said is not much incorrect but there is the ability for your battery to have additional circulation behind it so it could not hurt to be honest.
